On Saturday, March 24, kids and families will take to the streets to demand that their lives and safety become a priority and for an end to gun violence and mass shootings in schools today. March for our Lives will take place in Washington DC, as well as in communities across the country. Below is a list (alphabetically by diocese) of ways Episcopalians are supporting March for Our Lives. Diocese of Central New York
Bishop Duncan-Probe will participate in March for Our Lives Syracuse on March 24.
Bishop Duncan-Probe will also be participating in a March 20 Facebook live event called “How can Christians respond to gun violence?” Learn more and read a statement from Bishop Duncan-Probe.
Diocese of Central Pennsylvania
Bishop Audrey Scanlan will lead Episcopalians marching in March for Our Lives Harrisburg and a group of Episcopalians will also march at March for Our Lives Lancaster.
Diocese of Chicago
“On March 24, the Saturday before Palm Sunday, please do something to stand against gun violence as part of your pilgrimage into Holy Week,” said Bishop Lee. “Join me in marching in Chicago, join congregations who are organizing buses to travel to Washington, or join us in spirit if you are unable to march. Wherever you are, please pray that God will console, sustain and heal all whose lives are touched by gun violence, and that God will make evident the work that we are being called to do to end this scourge.”

Diocese of Connecticut
As part of a day-long event, Equipping and Empowering God’s Women: A Way Forward, Bishop Ahrens and other Connecticut Episcopalians will participate in March for our Lives Hartford on March 24. An offering will be collected that day to benefit St. Mary Magdalene Episcopal Church in Coral Springs, FL, home parish of Carmen Schentrup, age 16, who was killed in the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, FL. The funds will allow the youth of St. Mary Magdalene’s, including 5 survivors of the shooting, to attend the March for Our Lives in Washington, DC.

Diocese of Indianapolis
Bishop Baskerville-Burrows will rally with Episcopalians at the end of March for Our Lives Indianapolis, which will begin at 11 a.m. on Monument Circle. Additional details to come about how to join Bishop Baskerville-Burrows and other Episcopalians on that day.
The diocese and Christ Church Cathedral are sponsoring a bus trip to the March 24 March for Our Lives in Washington D.C. The trip is open to youth grades 6-12, and is limited to the first forty registrants. Learn more and register online.
Diocese of Maine
Bishop Steve Lane will march with a group from the The Cathedral of St Luke beginning at 10 a.m. on March 24 in Portland.
Diocese of Massachusetts
On March 24, our Cathedral Church of St. Paul (138 Tremont Street) in Boston will offer hospitality and a gathering place for March For Our Lives Boston participants, beginning at 10 a.m., in partnership with the Diocese of Massachusetts and its B-PEACE for Jorge anti-violence campaign and Episcopal City Mission. Those interested in marching with other Episcopalians in the Boston event are to meet at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul by 11:30 a.m. Organizers also hope to offer space for youth-led trainings or other organizing activities, including a B-PEACE postcard-writing campaign to state and federal legislators, corporate decision-makers and other stakeholders. Diocese of Newark
Bishop Mark Beckwith will attend the Vigil at the Washington National Cathedral on Friday, March 23 and will march in DC on Saturday, March 24 along with 50 members of the Diocese of Newark who will be riding to DC on buses organized by the Lutheran Episcopal Advocacy Ministry of New Jersey (LEAMNJ).
Diocese of Northern California
Bishop Beisner will participate in March for Our Lives Sacramento on March 24.
Diocese of Pennsylvania
Diocesan clergy and youth will take part in the March for our Lives in Washington as well as the march in Philadelphia on March 24. On March 23 at 5 pm, Bishop Gutiérrez will offer a blessing for those who are marching, demonstrating and speaking out against injustice in the world. The service will honor Oscar Romero, who was gunned down in 1980, a staunch advocate against social and economic injustice.
Diocese of Rhode Island
Bishop Nick Knisely will be attending March for Our Lives-Providence on Saturday, March 24 at 1:00 p.m. Episcopalians will gather at the Cathedral Church of St. John on North Main Street at 12:30 p.m. Learn more.

Diocese of South Carolina
Bishop Adams and his wife Bonnie will be participating in the “March for Our Lives” event in North Charleston on Saturday, March 24. People in the diocese are encouraged to join this march, as well as the sister marches in Bluffton, Beaufort and Myrtle Beach, which are taking place on March 24 at 10 a.m.
Diocese of Texas
Episcopalians in the Diocese of Texas are are participating in various local marches across the region. Bishop Jeff Fisher will march in Tyler and Bishop Andy Doyle will march in Houston. Learn more.
Diocese of Vermont
Bishop Ely will join others from the Episcopal Church at March for Our Lives Montpelier Saturday. Stop by Christ Church and connect with us. Allie Brown, a High School Senior from the Cathedral Church of St. Paul, is one of the scheduled speakers at the rally.
Diocese of Washington
Members of the Diocese of Washington are invited to march in solidarity with the young people at the national March for Our Lives taking place in Washington D.C. on March 24, to provide ministries of hospitality, and to participate in a vigil at the National Cathedral the evening before.
